The Online Artistic Residencies, organized by balleteatro, aim to create an online archive in the field of performing arts, dedicated to the research and documentation of processes for transmitting and capturing artistic practices. This program is intended for those working in dance, theater, and performance—whether in creation, interpretation, or research—who wish to develop a diagrammatic presentation of their creative processes or archives.

Applications may include documentation and recording processes related to projects or research activities, whether ongoing or already completed. The program provides three grants of €700 each, to be awarded to 3 individual artists or collective structures selected through the application process.

The Online Artistic Residency will be developed on a digital platform, and the final result will be presented at the end of the residency period and remain publicly available on the balleteatro website.

Periods
The duration of the Online Artistic Residency is 4 weeks, and each application must indicate the preferred time frame for its realization, within the following periods:

• March to May

• June to August

• September to November

Applicants are encouraged, if possible, to propose more than one time frame in order of preference for the residency.

The selection results will be communicated by email by January 30, 2026.

Conditions

• The residency grant is €700, to be paid at the end of the residency upon submission of an official receipt or invoice.

• Balleteatro must be acknowledged in all materials associated with the residency.

• Balleteatro will provide a tutorial and guidance for understanding the digital tools available for the development of the Online Artistic Residency.

• The Online Artistic Residency must be developed and written in Portuguese, English, or Spanish.

• The final result of the Online Artistic Residency will be hosted and made publicly available on the balleteatro website.

Final considerations

• Balleteatro guarantees the security and confidentiality of all data submitted in the application. The information will only be used for the stated purposes.

• The decision regarding acceptance and evaluation of applications rests solely with balleteatro. Balleteatro is not obliged to provide feedback or justifications regarding the selection.

• Selected applicants are responsible for copyright matters related to any content presented within the framework of the Online Artistic Residency.

• Submission of an application implies full acceptance of these regulations.
