O Tempo Avança Por Sílabas

O Tempo Avança Por Sílabas, the title of one of João Luís Barreto Guimarães' books and a poem, is a creation for an actress. In this proposal, which we hope will bring the audience closer together, the word will be ‘served’ in a simple way, as in any ordinary event. It's the banal that interests us, the everyday, everything that inspires us in the author's poetry. Using an object present on stage, a kind of miniature scenography, the actress moves pieces around, building places, small worlds, where stories take place that are transversal to everyone. In this movement, which is always diverse, we travel through various emotions, returning to an unrepeatable beginning, contributing to the passage of time.

Isabel Barros, Artista, cofundadora do balleteatro (1983), diretora artística do Teatro de Marionetas do Porto desde 2010 e do Museu das Marionetas do Porto inaugurado em Fevereiro de 2013. Tem um vasto percurso de criação artística, no qual destaca o cruzamento de linguagens, nomeadamente dança, teatro e marionetas. Cedo se interessou por criar projetos privilegiando formatos transversais e alternativos, com outros artistas e com a comunidade. Em 2014 criou o Festival Corpo + Cidade, dedicado à performance em espaço público, o qual desde 2016 passou a integrar a programação do Festival DDD.
Em 2018 recebeu a Medalha Municipal de Mérito - Grau Ouro. O Porto é a sua cidade de origem e de eleição, na qual desenvolve o seu trabalho com sentido de urgência e forte dimensão social.

Teresa Lima
Licenciada em Filologia Românica, fez o curso de formação de Actores da Comuna -Teatro de Pesquisa, o Curso de Ciências Pedagógicas e o Curso de Arte de Dizer do Conservatório Nacional. Foi professora de Português no ensino Preparatório e Secundário e de Linguística no ensino Superior. Como actriz trabalhou na Comuna, Novo Grupo (de que é co-fundadora) e O Bando. Como professora de Voz lecionou na Esmae, Balleteatro e Academia Contemporânea do Espectáculo, no Porto e Centro de Estudos Judiciários, Escola Superior de Dança, Etic e Act- escola de actores, em Lisboa. Fez parte da Direcção Artística do teatro O Bando, sendo responsável pela Oralidade de cerca de 30 espectáculos desta Companhia. É formadora de profissionais que usam a voz em público.

Paula Abrunhosa
With an academic background in history and musical sciences, Paula Abrunhosa has been a trainer for children's groups, a primary school teacher and the artistic coordinator of the Porto National Orchestra. Since 2009, she has worked as a communications and production assistant at the Marques da Silva Foundation. At the same time, she has been developing and participating in projects that cross different artistic and cultural territories. Among other things, she was the author of the programme Arte de Música: da palavra à música, da música à palavra, Jorge de Sena revisitado (for Antena 2); the author and coordinator, together with Palmira Troufa, of the Olhares project at the BPMP, where she has also been a speaker at the Sound Library since 2006; and the podcasts Escritos Escolhidos and Passa-Palavra: falemos de arquitetura. The role of narrator in O Lobo Diogo e o mosquito Valentim, in 2006, in what was the first staged version of this cantata by Eurico Carrapatoso, in a co-production by Teatro de Marionetas do Porto, ONP and Casa da Música, was decisive for what has been a growing interest in theatre.

José Luís Guimarães
Architect by profession. Graduate fencing coach. As an athlete, he was several times Absolute Champion of Portugal in the foil weapon. He represented Portugal several times at the European and World Fencing Championships. He was an Olympic athlete in Barcelona/92.
